About This Workshop:
Learn the science behind how massage helps body tissues heal, insider tips on how to choose the right massage therapist for you, and how to identify when it's time to seek a higher level of care for your aches and pains. Then comes the BEST part: an interactive workshop on massage techniques to try on yourself and/or your partner. Your next spa day will in the comfort of your own home after this virtual event.

- How to help yourself/your partner enjoy a mini version at home (simple self-and partner-massage techniques for common aches and pains)
About the Expert:
Nicolas is the owner and founder of Enlighten Movement Therapy and Wellness, a solo private practice in New Orleans, LA specializing in medical massage and manual therapy but providing preventative and recuperative care across a spectrum of services. He has been working as a physical therapist for nearly a decade with experience across every patient population and treatment environment and has also been a massage therapist for two decades.
He has always been a hands-on healer, a communicator, and a teacher and now he uses these skills to the benefit of his clients. He also has an eclectic array of downtime interests that is led by spending time experiencing the world with his wife who is also a physical therapist and doting on his two cats Audre and Jack. He is an avid reader, writer, and improv actor and is always up for a conversation, especially if it means getting to share what he is passionate about with a captive audience.
How to prepare for the event:
Dress in comfortable, loose-fitting clothes that will allow movement and the arms and legs to be exposed.
Set up your Zoom screen in a place where you can sit or recline comfortably
Bring a partner if you one is available
Anything else that will help you create a relaxing environment for participation in the workshop
